'Read Between the Lines': My 'Pomes'

Where the dew drop from the night skies,

Falls upon the lonely lotus leaf in the pond,

And longs to rest its fragile self there forever,

But slips down the leaf and becomes one with the pond,

There will you find me longing for you my love,

Where a tiny pebble from the cold sands,

Upsets the still of the pond,

And sets several ripples,

Resounding unrest in the air,

There will you find me longing for you my love,

Where the eternal sun,

Shuttles between the earth and the sky,

All day long,

Craving to touch the horizon,

There will you find me longing for you my love,

Where the lonely cuckoo sings its heart out in the wake of spring,

And flies from branch to branch, hops from tree to tree,

Yearning to be seen,

There will you find me longing for you my love,

Where caricatures along the beach sands,

Get swept away by the wanton sea waves,

Where a broken leaf from the tree,

Longs to attach itself to its tree,

Where a broken star from the sky,

Longs to get back to its sky,

There will you find me longing for you my love,

Because without you there in no grandeur in my world,

Because in your arms alone rests my world…

'Read Between the Lines': My 'Pomes'

Your words first broke the ice,
When I was reluctant and withdrawn,

Your words come as a ray of hope since,
With each day and every dawn,

Your words bring me cheer,
When I am gloomy and forlorn,

Your words come as inspiration,
When my spirits are down,

Your words come as strength,
When I feel helpless and weak,

Your words bring me infallible warmth,
When I am cold and vulnerable,

Your words show me the path,
At times when I feel lost,

Your words come as the lovable companion,
In the lonesome path towards my destination,

Your words resound in my ears and mind,
In moments of silence and all day long,

What to say, when even your silence speaks words aplenty,
And I sense meanings deep, immense in them,

What to say, when your words leave me awestruck, speechless,
Each time they echo before me in some shape, in some form,

What to say when your words leave me awestruck, speechless,
When your words make me feel special,

At times your words are just human,
At times your words become the voice of my soul,

At times your words lure me into a temptation sweet,
At times in your words I feel the divine,

What more can I say,
When your words mean everything to me,

What more can I say,
When you and your voice means larger than life itself to me…

'Read Between the Lines': My 'Pomes'

This dawn today is a red letter day,
Of countless joys and abounding mirth,
Filled in this day of your birth,

Catch upon a winning spree,
As you make a wish and blow out candles thirty three,

More celebrations for you are in store,
As you this day next year will complete thirty four,

The sun never sets on days like these ever,
Which are but a year away from each other…

'Read Between the Lines': My 'Pomes'

The starlit night reigned by the waning moon has made way,
For a very special dawn today,
When many years ago, you were born on this day,
Wake up now, for its time to make all your dreams come true,
Take the world in your stride, for you are born to rule,
The night is over and you your dreams must pursue,
Lend your voice for a brand new tune,
Which the world awaits to hear,
A song unsung, unheard,
Which a pair of ears awaits to cheer,
Take a new step beyond the horizon,
For at the end of the road,
Is a new beginning,
Stretch out your hands,
For the cosmos has conspired,
To shower its choicest blessings on you,
Yes, the future ain’t what it used to be,
Sport your glasses,
For the future is as bright as it could be,
The future is all yours, for you to see…

'Read Between the Lines': My 'Pomes'

Whenever I miss you,
A tear trickles down my eyes,
If all the oceans in the world,
Flood and overflow with brine thereafter,
It’s all because of you,
Because you make me miss you so much,

Whenever I miss you,
All hues around fade,
If the whole world seems colourless and pale thereafter,
It’s all because of you,
Because you make me miss you so much,

Whenever I miss you,
The birds stop chirping,
The bees stop humming,
If all voice around comes to a standstill thereafter,
It’s all because of you,
Because you make me miss you so much,

Whenever I miss you,
A leaf falls down from a tree,
A flower wilts and a bud refuses to bloom,
If the fall were to stay here forever,
Not making way for spring thereafter,
It’s all because of you,
Because you make me miss you so much,

Whenever I miss you,
A star falls down from the sky,
And the moon wanes away,
If eternal darkness reigned over starry nights thereafter,
It’s all because of you,
Because you make me miss you so much,

You have to come this very moment,
Before me, right here and now,
Relieve me of all wretchedness,
Be my respite, and revive me once again,
Don't make me miss you so much,
I want to live my love,

Because without you there is no grandeur in my world,
Because in your arms alone rests my world…

'Read Between the Lines': My 'Pomes'

In this crowded world,
Where is too much noise,
There’s only one thing I seek,
The solace in your voice,

It’s a desolate desert path,
I tread upon,
Not a bed of roses,
Though filled with deadly thorns,

There is no mirth,
In the humming of bees and birds,
Somewhere, somehow a discord,
There is a complete loss of your words,

There isn’t any harmony ,
There isn’t any melody in any song,
There’s no rhythm in my life,
Without you around,

My shadow refuses to follow me,
The mirror doesn’t reflect my image,
Even in hillocks my voice doesn’t resound,
Without you what identity do I seek?
Because God created me in your own image,
Have waited long enough my love,
Have walked all the while in search of you my love,
The wait seems to be endless,
And the journey doesn’t seem to end,

Come over before me my love,
Not as a living dream,
But as a reality,

Lend me your hand,
And take me far away,
From this noisy maddening world,

Lend me your voice,
And fill me with harmony,
Fill rhythm in my life,

Let nothing take me away from you,
Let not even death separate me from you,
In your soul I’ll be seated thereafter,

Because without you there is no grandeur in my world,
Because in your arms alone, rests my world …

'Read Between the Lines': 'My Pomes'

In darkness was I for a long while,
With the doors of my heart shut to the world wide,
But like a gust of wind strong,
You broke into my heart,
And threw open windows several wide,
And made me see the beautiful world outside,

Because of you I saw myriad colours in life,
Because of you I sang many songs unknown,

Now that you are here to stay,
Seated within the four walls of my heart,
I close the doors of my heart yet again,
Never to let you out,

You put my broken heart in one piece,
With the warmth of your heart,
And gave it eternal peace,
With your words clement,
Like the rain bearing clouds,
You brought me solace,
And cleared my skies of gloom,
With your eternal sunshine,
And gave it happiness immense,
As the eternal spring,

This heart of mine in your hands I give,
Preserve it my love, in your care, forever,
For even if I say I have lost my heart,
I know it will in your hands forever be,

Because without you there is no grandeur in my world,
Because in your arms alone rests my world…

'Read Between the Lines': 'My Pomes'

When the Almighty created love,
Did I bloom in his garden of love evergreen,

Vibrant was I in full bloom,
Awaiting but his adoring gaze,
Which would leave me pleasantly dazed,

And scatter all hues in heavens above,
Making the rainbow feel shy,

Fragrant was I in full bloom,
Awaiting his gentle finger,
Touch upon my petals tender,

And give into a temptation sweet,
His blatant self making me feel coy,

Awaiting I was for that day,
I dream of all night, all day,

When in his wedding garland,
Would I be wreathed,

The fall didn’t wither my temptations,
And I continued to bloom in full swing,
But the long wait made me wilt,
With a thirst unquenched,

The day did come,
When every other flower,
In the garden of spring got wreathed,

And I continued to wither,
My bridal self being incomplete,
Somewhere, somehow, a wish unfulfilled,

But my quest is on,
And the wait will continue,
Until that day,
When I wreathed in his arms will be,

Because without him, there is no grandeur in my world,
Because in his arms alone rests my world…

'Read Between the Lines': 'My Pomes'

At the crossroads of life,
Where I found myself one day,
I didn’t have an option, with my choice,
And took the path less travelled by,

I walked through a tunnel, as dark as night,
In the hope that I will see the light,
At the end of the tunnel, I did see the light,
But not the torch bearer,

I walked barefooted in the sands of a lonely desert,
In quest of the oasis, that will quench my thirst,
At the end of the wilderness barren,
I did spot that haven,
Which turned into a mirage,
And my thirst remained unquenched,
And I was left behind, in the lonely sands of the desert,

I heard that voice again,
Which fills my life with resonance,
I followed it, till I reached the end of the road,
But the voice drowned into silence,

At last, him I did see, far in the horizon,
Calling on to me, with outstretched arms,
But like a pleasant dream, he dissolved, in the oblivion,
Leaving me dejected and forlorn,

With my faith in my love for him,
With strength anew in my heart,
I start on my quest afresh,

Because without him, there is no grandeur in my world,
Because in his arms alone rests my world …

'Read Between the Lines': 'My Pomes'

When the first ray of the dawn tickles me,
I wake up afresh with that everlasting smile,
Because I know you are there, with me,
All the while,

Wherever I go,
You seem to follow, like my own shadow,
Just the way, the eternal sun seems to travel with me,
Whichever corner of the world I go,

In the gentle breeze that brushes past me every time,
I feel your serene touch,
Even in the air I breathe my life,
It is your spirit that encompasses me every time,

Even then at times, when my yearnings for you,
Bring tears to my eyes,
Pleasant rain drops from the heavens above wash away my tears,
In which I sense the warm caress of your hands,

In the waves of the seas,
In the song of the bees,
I your voice hear,

Every beautiful song that I hum,
Is but your name alone,
That I utter demurely each time,

In every step I take,
I your support feel,
Even at times when I trip,
You like the earth,
Embrace me in your arms,
And I feel as though upon your chest I rest,

Because without you, there is no grandeur in my world,
Because in your arms alone, rests my world …

'Read Between the Lines': My 'Pomes'

On a pleasant morn in spring,
When all flowers were in full bloom,
I like a tiny leaf, also woke up to his gentle feel,
In search of which I did a new journey begin,

A thundering, stormy night,
Broke the leaf away from its tree,
In search of that gentle feel again,
I tried tracing his footprints,
Which the ruthless downpour,
Had wiped all away,

The dry wind of the fall,
Made the leaf lose its way,
Mountains I did scale,
Plains I did traverse,
Seas I did steer,
And finally I did that voice hear,

Pale and weary,
I did beneath his feet rest,
He lifted my spirits,
With the same gentle feel,
And in his memoir,
I like the leaf sought respite,

Because without him, there is no grandeur in My World,
Because in his arms alone rests My World…

'Read Between the Lines': 'My Pomes'

I know not where God resides,

But I feel closest to Him, when by his side,

God watches upon all mortals, they all say,

From the Heavens above,

For me, the very heaven is upon earth,

Where he resides,

All words I say, become prayers,

And all my desires converge in him,

There are moments several,

When I feel at a loss of words,

And falter to convey anything oral,

He still listens to me in silence,

As the vast sky spreads its arms wide above this mortal earth,

So does he sheath my heart, all around,

And becomes the infallible spirit,

All my breath has his fragrance,

In every heart beat of mine does his name resound,

In all my lifeblood is his name written,

On the walls of my heart,

He may be miles away from me,

But still closest to my heart,

With him, in my thoughts I keep my eyes open,

And with him in my dreams, I my eyes close,

Be it day or night, dawn or dusk,

His presence will never fade away from my heart,

In the gleam of his eyes,

Do I see the dawn every day,

My faith in him keeps me going,

Because in his eyes, I, a ray of hope did see,

In every word of his,

In me, I did a new spirit feel,

In his moments of silence,

Did I the eternal peace feel,

In his footprints, did I my path of life find,

That led me to my destination,

And I set on my journey,

His abode bound,

In his outstretched arms, did I the heaven, my world find,

Where there are but only tears of glee, and sunny smiles,

And indescribable warmth,

Because without him, there is no grandeur in my world,

Because in his arms alone, rests my world…

'Read Between the Lines': My 'Pomes'

He is the pleasant evergreen spring,

Who threw open the windows of my heart,

And made me see and feel,

All hues of happiness, fragrances of freshness,

All the pale autumn in my life,

Turned evergreen,

He is the refreshing tempest in summer,

Who broke open the closed door of my heart,

And quenched all thirst,

And cleansed my soul off barrenness,

Leaving me fertile forever and evergreen,

As the warm sun, he lit up my eastern sky,

And as the dawn, brought me a new hope,

His voice became all spirit of the day for me,

And without him, I would have never realized,

The value of shade,

By losing myself in him,

I rediscovered myself once again,

By forgetting myself in him,

I regained consciousness as a woman,

His whispers tickle me all night,

His dreams make me stay up all night,

And in his thoughts I spend all day,

Day and night, dawn and dusk,

Spring and autumn, sun and shade,

Rain and shine,

All I experience in life,

But will never be able to hate anything again,

What spell he cast upon me,

I know now only the language of love,

And by making me lose my heart to him,

He won over my soul,

And my weakness for him,

Turns into strength,

When he takes me in his arms,

Because without him, there is no grandeur in My World,

Because in his arms alone rests My World …

'Read Between the Lines': My 'Pomes'

It will be a night to remember,

Sitting by the resonant sea shores,

Awaiting the first light of the dawn,

When you will like the eternal sun, rise in my eastern sky,

The sky has in my bridal veil studded all its stars,

And the seas have strung together all precious pearls into a necklace,

The very thought that I'll be your bride,

Brings my lips that everlasting smile,

And with the lilac of the dawn, adds blush to my face,

All the birds and the bees in chorus will sing the bridal song,

And all the buds in the gardens will flower at dawn,

Which I’ll wreath together into a garland for you,

As all my dreams about you, come true,

I’ll cherish this wait, all night long,

Only to await the dawn,

When you’ll upon your horse come,

And take me away, with my hand in yours,

The heavens above will shower blessings,

As you and me will vows exchange,

To live and be for each other, for several births to come,

As I start a fresh journey with you,

Together with my hand in yours,

And step into your world,

My eyes will gleam, with tears of joy,

My love for you will abound,

And in your arms, I‘ll forget myself,

And spend all my life in bliss and peace,

In your arms My Love,

I'll forget the rest of the world,

And will catch upon that eternal sleep,

Never to wake up again,

Although my heart will continue to beat,

For you alone My Love,

Because without you there is no grandeur in My World,

Because in your arms alone rests My World …

'Read Between the Lines': My 'Pomes'

I wish to walk by the sea shores,

With my hand in yours,

Till the other end of the world,

And explore the unseen beyond,

Your footprints will my path become,

Step by step, you’ll usher me,

Into your world, and the warmth of your arms,

Make me rediscover myself in you,

All conversations, when your eyes meet mine,

Will in the heavens resound,

And silence all monologue of the lashing sea waves,

As I construe your language of love,

At times I’ll be coy,

Like the waves, which withdraw into the seas,

And will fling myself in your arms, widespread as the sky,

Like the waves hit the shores again,

All lilac of the dawn in the horizon,

Will my blushes be,

When my lips will bloom as the lotus,

To convey, the unsaid, in your ears,

You’ll my anthem of love hear,

And about the birth of the horizon,

The secret of how the earth met the sky,

And that your world is the same as mine,

My world is the same as yours,

My world is but in your arms alone,

Because without you there is no there is no grandeur in My World,

Because in your arms alone rests My World …

'Read Between the Lines' - 'My Pomes'

Before the bee hovers around the lotus,

Rise my sun, in the east,

And burn me down with your warmth,

From my ashes I’ll like the phoenix rise before you again,

Before the water lily loses its nectar,

Rise my moon, in the sky,

And freeze me to death with your chill,

I’ll bloom afresh before you again,

Before the bee casts its sting on the fragrant rose,

Be the thorns My Love,

And tear my petals gently into shreds,

I’ll shower you with fragrance again,

Allow nothing else to partake of my love for you,

This body, mind and soul of mine,

Is for you, and for you alone,

For you alone it’ll bloom,

For you alone it’ll wilt,

For you alone it’ll spread its fragrance in the air,

Because without you, there is no grandeur in My World,

Because in your arms alone rests My world ...

'Read Between the Lines' - 'My Pomes'

I walked along the sea shores,

To catch a glimpse of your abode,

On the other side,

In the lashing sea waves,

Did you my yearnings hear?

In anticipation, I reclined,

On the wet sea sands,

To catch a glimpse of your peaceful countenance,

In the widespread skies above,

Did you in the lilac of the sunset my blushes see?

I continued with my voyage,

To reach your abode,

And walked into the sea waves,

Towards the horizon,

Where the azure sea meets the blue sky,

My footprints on the sands,

The waves had wiped off,

You’d never know,

When I came and went off,

But the faith in my heart for you,

The waves can't erase,

Nor can the wind blow out,

It’ll shine unsteadily for ages untold,

I’ll be at the point,

Where two shores converge,

I’ll be in the horizon,

Where the sea meets the sky,

I’ll be the dawn and I’ll be the dusk,

Where the sun and the moon meet,

And await but a glimpse of your peaceful countenance,

Bearing your love in my heart,

And hands widespread,

Awaiting that moment,

When you’ll take me in your arms,

And I’ll close my eyes in eternal peace,

Never to wake up from my sleep,

Because without you there is no grandeur in My World,

Because in your arms alone rests My World …

'Read Between the Lines' - My 'Pomes'

Take my hand in yours, and I’ll show you my world,

Where all brightness is your alluring charm,

And the eternal sun rises at your command,

Your spirit is all the life-giving air,

And the perennial brook your oceanic love rears,

It’s symphony forever in the music of birds and bees,

Who hail your name and in your praise cheer,

Where every flower is fragrant with your memories,

And all fruits in the orchards your temptations bear,

All shade of the trees is your cool shadow,

And your evergreen smiles are the lush green meadows,

In the waning moon you play hide and seek,

Making me lose all my sleep,

And still be the starlit night with your dreams,

When my heart awaits your glimpse in emotions deep,

It’s all but a hand away from you,

Take my hand in yours and I’ll show you my world,

You might think whether it exists at all,

And if at all does, then where at all,

It’s all in the warmth of your arms,

Where My World exists,

Where I can get that peace of mind,

And eternally rest in peace,

Because without you there is no grandeur in My World,

Because in your arms rests My World …

'Read Between the Lines' - My 'Pomes'

A zillion lotuses bloom,
With the rise of the sun,
My heart too blooms,
When His thoughts across my mind run,
But one word from Him,
Would wipe all tears from my eyes,
Just the way the warmth of the sun,
From lotus petals, all dew drops wipes,

As His dreams, like the rain-bearing clouds fill my sky,
And my mind like the merry peacock,
Spreads its colourful plumes to dance,
And His pleasant showers of love,
Leaves evergreen my forlorn soul,

My eyes would always His moves follow,
Like the sunflower seeks the sun, bright and yellow,
I will the water lily be,
Which comes to life, at but a glimpse of Him,
His image in my heart will always be,
Like the moon’s just beside the water lily,

Because without Him there is no grandeur in My World,
But in His arms alone rests My World …

'Read Between The Lines': My 'Pomes'

I was like an unsung song,
You breathed into me a rhythm with your voice,
I was like an incomplete poem,
You made me meaningful with your words,
I was like an unfinished portrait,
You filled in hues with your magical touch,
I was like a withered flower,
You set me bloom with your warm gaze,
You came into my forlorn life,
Like a fresh whiff of gentle breeze,
And are here to stay like the eternal spring, evergreen,
But for you I would not have known,
What I had missed all my life,
But for you I would not have known,
How incomplete I was without you,
A vital string binds me to you,
Unseen, unheard, untouched, unknown,
I feel your pains,
And bask in your joys,
I know not why,
With each passing moment in my life,
I feel helpless, speechless,
To say how much my soul yearns for you,
To say how much my heart craves for you,
To say I have lost my heart to you, forever, in love,
To say, this is one truth I’ll cherish, forever, My love,
Without You, there is no grandeur in My World,
Because in Your arms alone rests My World…

‘Read Between The Lines’ – My ‘Pomes’

When He saw beauty in my ‘smiles’,
I felt the most beautiful of all in the world,
When He said my laughs were His stimulation,
I felt on top of the world,
Many a times in His ‘words’,
I felt conscious of my womanhood,
Many a times in His 'words',
I have felt very special,
In moments of silence,
I have felt His concern for me,
In moments of conversations,
It’s more than ‘words’ that matters to me,
He is my spirit during the day,
He is the peaceful sleep during my nights,
He is as much a living dream,
As much a reality for me,
He is that better half, who completes me,
Without whom my world is incomplete,
I knew not when He crept into my life,
And stole my heart away,
Now in and around Him alone my thoughts sway,
It is Him only that my soul yearns for,
And will come back several times Him alone for,
For there is a vital string that binds me to Him,
That binds my dreams, thoughts and hopes to Him,
Without Him, nothing else matters to me in this world,
Because in His arms alone rests my world.

‘Read Between The Lines’ – My ‘Pomes’

Until that day, when my eyes meet Yours,
These eyes of mine will wait endlessly,
Until that day, when my lips bear,
My confessions about You,
My lips will wait earnestly,
Until that day, when you take me in Your arms,
My heart will beat tirelessly,
When You’ll look into my eyes,
You’ll see more than what just meets the eye,
When You’ll hear my confessions,
You’ll hear more than just words,
All I wait for is that day,
When in Your arms, I’ll forget this world,
And my eyes get that eternal sleep,
Never to wake up again,
My lips will bear that eternal smile,
For You alone My World,
Although I maybe gone,
My eyes will never close,
Although I maybe gone,
My smiles will never fade,
Although I maybe gone,
My heart beats will never cease,
Because my eyes have Your dreams,
My lips have Your smiles,
My heart has Your beats,
Without You, there is no grandeur in My World,
Because in Your arms alone rests My World…

‘Read Between The Lines’ – My ‘Pomes’

Roses may bloom during summer,
The snow may melt in winter,
And it may rain embers,
The chameleon may not change its hue,
But my feelings for ‘Him’ will always be true,
The eternal sun may lose it shine,
The waning moon may never rise again,
The oceans and seas may dry up,
The earth may lose all its green,
But my feelings for ‘Him’ will never change,
Because without ‘Him’ there is no grandeur in ‘My World’,
Because in ‘His’ arms alone rests ‘My World’

‘Read Between The Lines’ – My ‘Pomes’

Say those words again, which brought me closer to you,

Say those words again, which made me lose my heart to you,

Say those words again, which bind my soul to you,

Say those words again, which made me find true love in you,

Say those words again, which gave me a reason to live,

Without your words, its eternal silence in my life,

Without your words, there are no beats in my heart,

Without your words, I lose my peace of mind,

Without your words there are no dreams in my eyes,

Without your words I don’t see hues around,

Say those words again, which make me forget in you,

Say those words again, which will make me seek warmth in you,

Say those words again, which will never ever take me away from you,

Because without you, there is no grandeur in my world,

Because in your arms alone rests my world…

‘Read Between The Lines’ – My ‘Pomes’

Yonder where the ocean waves lash against the shores,

Stands His abode, tall and calm,

Like the ocean waves,

His memories resound,

In my mind all day long,

In His concern for me I feel His warmth,

His 'Words' make me speechless at times,

But my weakness for Him gives me the strength of tolerance,

And patience as the Earth,

When the gentle breeze touches me,

I feel His presence in and around me,

I go breathless,

Even at the slightest thought of His absence around me,

Because in His arms rests 'My World',

And in 'My Love' for Him I live, I sense the elements of Nature …

‘Read Between The Lines’ – My ‘Pomes’

In my eyes rests His dreams,

In my ears chime His ‘Words’,

In my mind rests His thoughts,

In my heart rests His beats,

In my lips rests His name,

But in His arms rests ‘My World’…

My eyes seek Him all the time,

My ears yearn for His ‘Words’ all the time,

My heart beats for Him all the while,

His thoughts bring my lips the smile,

Because in His arms rests ‘My World’…
